Pastor Andrew first came to Okinawa in the summer of 2007. From 2007 to 2017, Andrew served at Calvary Chapel Ginowan in areas such as leading worship and teaching Bible studies and Bible college classes in both English and Japanese. In 2010, Andrew married his wife Kayo, and in 2011, he was ordained as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Ginowan.

In 2013, Andrew and Kayo began holding bi-weekly Bible studies in Yomitan Village at a friend’s home. In 2015, they relocated to Yomitan and began holding weekly Bible studies in their home. It was from those weekly home Bible studies that Calvary Chapel Yomitan began.
